Andrew Thompson Bio


Andrew Thompson - Currency Today writer (Travel, business and economics)


Andrew is a former foreign correspondent, broadcaster, and business journalist who has worked for The Guardian, The Times, the Financial Times, The Economist and BBC World Service among others. He has been based in Rome, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and Rio de Janeiro. As a BBC correspondent in Latin America, he covered the fall of the Argentine military regime after the Falklands/Malvinas war and was the editor of a prize-winning radio documentary on social reform in the region. He also has substantial experience covering business and economics for companies such as Business Monitor International and Intelligence Research. Andrew enjoys travelling, cycling, and a long-lost but happily rediscovered love for sailing.
