Singapore: An overview
Singapore is a vibrant potpourri of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture. It
has a unique blend of people from different cultures living together in one
small but beautiful country. It is their extravagant shopping malls that have
made Singapore a favourite shopper’s paradise. Food is an obsession with the
people and you will find not only the most stylish bars and restaurants but
street hawkers too. People can be seen at pubs and restaurants until the wee
hours of the morning. Apart from shopping and dining there are other interesting
things to do such as visiting the Underwater World, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
and many more attractions.
The cost of living in Singapore is reasonably lower than the European countries
but it also depends on the kind of lifestyle that one lives. An average cost of
a hotel room in Singapore would be around SGD80/$53/£38 while a three-course
meal would cost SGD100/$66/£47.
